SETON HALL BASKETBALL FACILITY
PROFILE SUMMARY
SETON HALL BASKETBALL FACILITY PROFILE SUMMARY
The client required a modern, integrated audiovisual system across a new multi-use athletic and administrative facility. Spaces included locker rooms, player lounges, training areas, offices, conference rooms, and public entryways. The project encompassed digital signage, video distribution, wireless presentation, conferencing, and specialty video wall systems.
OBJECTIVE
To design, furnish, install, and commission a comprehensive AV solution that:
- Supports digital signage and media content delivery
- Enables wireless and wired video presentation
- Provides local and centralized control of AV systems
- Integrates with Microsoft Teams conferencing
- Delivers high-quality audio and visual experiences across all environments
- Supports scalable content distribution to multiple zones and video walls
SOLUTION
CTCI deployed a turn-key audiovisual solution covering over 20 distinct system types across the facility, with systems customized to room function and user needs.
Display & Presentation Systems:
- Installed Samsung 24/7-rated commercial displays (55”–85”) in training areas, lounges, dining rooms, and offices using articulating wall mounts and in-wall backboxes.
- HDMI signal routing via wall plate transmitters and CAT-5 extenders to local receivers.
- Source selection through 4x1 and 8x2 HDMI switchers depending on room needs.
- Wireless presentation via Crestron AirMedia gateways in nearly all spaces.
Audio Systems:
- High-quality ceiling and surface-mounted speakers installed per room requirements (up to 12 speakers per space).
- Audio processing provided via Biamp DSPs, with wall-mounted Bluetooth and analog line inputs in locker rooms and court areas.
- Speech reinforcement with wireless handheld microphones in large spaces (e.g., practice court).
Control Systems:
- Crestron MPC button panels provided simple local control (power, volume, source).
- Larger systems, including video walls and locker rooms, used 10” touch panels for extended functionality.
- Centralized control via Crestron 32x32 video matrix switchers housed in dual 41RU AV racks.
Collaboration & Conferencing:
- Microsoft Teams Room systems integrated via Crestron UC kits (displays, conferencing bars, control panels) in conference and office spaces.
- Film rooms included Epson projectors or 86” interactive displays with USB-C and HDMI extension for collaborative review sessions.
Digital Signage & Video Walls:
- Spectrio digital signage players installed across zones (subscriptions by owner).
- RGB Spectrum MediaWall V processors deployed for advanced control and scaling of large format video walls:
- 2x2 and 3x3 LCD arrays in lobby/stair areas
- Planar 1.5mm pixel pitch LED walls (7x7 and 5x5) in men's and women’s locker rooms
Back-End Integration:
- Rack-based control and distribution for video content, with inputs from digital signage players, streaming sticks, and PTZ cameras.
- Four 30x PTZ cameras installed for gym monitoring, routed via centralized matrix switcher.
OUTCOME
