JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager, IT is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, installation and tracking of projects in the fields of audio-visual systems, IT/data services, and security solutions. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Oversee the execution of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements, deadlines, and budgets.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
  • Ensure the integration of IT systems meets industry standards and client expectations.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.

Team Coordination and Supervision:

  • Lead and motivate project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Monitor project progress, implementing quality control procedures to ensure high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Handle any project issues and conflicts, providing solutions in a timely manner.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, change orders, and project summaries.
  • Provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in AV, IT/Data, or Security industries.
  • Strong technical background with a good understanding of AV systems, IT infrastructure, and security solutions.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Work Conditions:

  • Office-based role with frequent site visits and client meetings.
  • Standard working hours, with flexibility required for project deadlines and client needs.
