JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Project Manager, IT is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, installation and tracking of projects in the fields of audio-visual systems, IT/data services, and security solutions. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Oversee the execution of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet client requirements, deadlines, and budgets.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Ensure the integration of IT systems meets industry standards and client expectations.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
Team Coordination and Supervision:
- Lead and motivate project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities.
- Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Monitor project progress, implementing quality control procedures to ensure high standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Handle any project issues and conflicts, providing solutions in a timely manner.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, change orders, and project summaries.
- Provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of project management experience in AV, IT/Data, or Security industries.
- Strong technical background with a good understanding of AV systems, IT infrastructure, and security solutions.
