JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Cabling Project Manager, RCDD Certified, is responsible for the management and delivery of cabling projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution
- Develop detailed project plans, capturing scope, timelines, resources, and budget
- Oversee the execution of cabling projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
- Technical Expertise
- Utilize RCDD certification knowledge to ensure all cabling designs and installations meet or exceed industry standards
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, ensuring best practices are followed
- Client Communication and Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Communicate project progress to clients and stakeholders, addressing any issues or changes, as necessary
- Team Leadership
- Lead and manage project teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement
- Attend and participate in L10 Meetings
- Set and achieve quarterly Rocks
- Quality Assurance
- Implement quality control processes to ensure all cabling installations meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Risk Management
- Identify potential risks associated with cabling projects and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure all safety and compliance regulations are strictly adhered to throughout the project lifecycle
- Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, project reports, and as-built drawings
- Utilize EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) tools, such as the Scorecard, to track and report project performance, identifying and addressing any issues promptly
- Keep updated weekly status reports and send to the client team on a weekly basis
- Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are tracked and controlled
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services
- KPI (Key Performance Indicator) accountable to overall performance of projects
Qualifications
- RCDD certification from BICSI

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field

Proven experience in cabling project management, with a strong technical background in cabling design and installation

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to read and interpret AV system diagrams and technical specifications

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail
