JOB DESCRIPTION:
The AV Estimator is responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for audio-visual system projects. This role requires extensive knowledge of AV systems, strong analytical skills, and experience in project estimation and management. The Estimator will play a key role in proposal development, project planning, and client consultations.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation and Analysis:
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for AV projects, including equipment, labor, and additional expenses.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to accurately determine the scope and requirements.
Proposal Preparation:
- Prepare detailed proposal documents, including project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with sales and design teams to ensure proposals align with client needs and expectations.
Vendor Relations and Pricing:
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and product information.

Client Interaction and Support:
- Consult with clients to clarify project requirements and adjust estimates accordingly.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during the pre-sales process.
Project Planning and Strategy:
- Participate in project planning meetings, contributing insights on cost and feasibility.
- Assist in developing strategies for competitive bidding and cost optimization.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain meticulous records of estimates, bids, and relevant project documentation.
- Generate estimation reports and analyses for internal review and decision-making.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to the team's skill development.
- Work collaboratively with various departments, including engineering, project management, and sales.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in audio-visual system estimation.
- Strong understanding of AV technologies, systems design, and integration.
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite.
