The AV Field Engineer (Commissioning Engineer) will be commissioning systems, testing and fine tuning of all the equipment in the system to ensure it is working well. This role requires travel to clients site, training and client communication and working with the PM team to lead the project team through the final stages of a project as well as working with engineering to help set standards and guarantee quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Commission systems and test systems in the field
Coordinate with programming and other required resources to load, test and modify system code and configurations
Document project and equipment details including checklists, equipment details, design changes and other required data
Work with operations and engineering to improve system designs, and product selection
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications:
Associates/Bachelors degree required and/or equivalent experience
Level one programming/configuration certification from Crestron and/or Extron
Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position
Minimum of 5 years of field experience servicing, maintaining audio visual and videoconferencing systems; conducting service calls
CTS Certification (Current or within 6 months)
Minimum 3 current manufacturer certifications
Advanced knowledge and operation of audio visual and videoconferencing equipment (Cisco, Poly, Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, Logitech etc.)
Strong knowledge in network configuration and ability to communicate with and support customer IT departments
Integration troubleshooting of systems and field engineering abilities
Perform client training
Strong client facing abilities including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the customer’s environment
